Founding AI Instructor (Long Island – Suffolk)

Creative AI Literacy Teacher — Long Island – Suffolk, NY

Pay: $70 per hour · Part-time · After-school

We're expanding our AI Game Design program, *Create New Worlds*, into Long Island – Suffolk and are hiring local instructors to lead it.

Qualifications

• Must pass standard background checks for working with children
• Must have a car (or reliable transportation to get to schools/community centers in the Long Island – Suffolk area)
• Must be available at least 3 days/week between 2pm-6pm
• Experience working with children in a group/classroom/camp environment
• Can travel to schools and community centers around Long Island – Suffolk
• Comfortable using technology in the classroom (laptop, projector, basic web tools)

Responsibilities

1. Teach "Create New Worlds" classes — deliver engaging lessons to 5-12 students (ages 8-14): storytelling, game design thinking, and age-appropriate AI literacy + safety.
2. Facilitate, adapt, and give feedback — keep students engaged and collaborating.
3. Come prepared — review provided lesson plans and use our classroom tech stack.
4. Participate in training — complete onboarding and join periodic coaching.
